Cooking
We cook every Friday in class, thanks to our amazing team of volunteers. We use cooking as a vehicle to reinforce literacy skills like following written directions, develop math skills like measurement and fractions, and learn about science and social studies through reading and learning about how food is integrated into cultures around the world. Students move through four 25-30 minute rotations to cook a wide variety of foods from around the world. We love trying new things, and students take great pride in the foods they prepare.
